Short_breaks_6Lifeways Community Care is currently regulated by:

Care Quality Commission

Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS)

Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW)

All of the above regulatory bodies provide guidance in the form of standards, and all reflect the need to involve people in decision-making.

Lifeways meets industry standards and recommended ‘best practice’ from the regulatory bodies (CQC, CCS, CSSIW) and others (including the NDT, Paradigm, In Control, Supporting People and REACH).

Regular Inspections

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, the Scottish Care Commission (SCC), the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and local authorities, inspect and report back on our services on a regular basis.

The latest inspection reports from the CQC, CCS and CSSIW can be found on the regulators’ websites, or by contacting our area offices. We are also accredited by Exor Management Services for having reached the required standards for a social care organisation.

The Quality Team

We have a dedicated and professional Quality Team who all work hard to drive, monitor and evaluate good practice.

The team support our regional offices to maintain excellent quality, and to meet and exceed the standards required by legislation and the expectations of the people who use our services. They also work with the people we support to enable them to have a say in the way in which our services develop and improve.
