From April 2012 Lifeways will be working with two new Local Authorities to deliver supported housing and specialist respite services to people with a range of learning disabilities in the North of England.

27th January 2012

Lifeways Community Care has been awarded contracts with Bolton Council, to support around 60 individuals and their families in supported living settings, and with Bradford Metropolitan District Council, to manage three specialist respite services for individuals with a range of learning disabilities.

Gill Rhodes, Lifeways’ Regional Manager, says: “We are in the process of setting up meetings and welcome events with the individuals, families and staff involved in these new contracts. Over the coming months these individuals will have their support provider changed to Lifeways and we are looking forward to working in partnership with them to ensure a smooth transition and the development of high quality services in both localities. Our main priority is to keep individuals, families, carers and advocates fully involved and informed throughout the whole transition process.”

Anne Bygrave, Director of Operations in the North says: “As new operational areas for Lifeways, both these contracts demonstrate our commitment to delivering quality and innovation - meeting local demand for organisations who can work in partnership to deliver excellent quality focussed services.”
