Meet Karen...
Karen has over 25 years’ experience working in senior leadership roles within the social care sector. Karen has occupied both operational and support service leadership roles within Lifeways Group, including Group Head of Operational Excellence, and Regional Director.
Karen successfully developed a social care business entitled Independent Living Alternatives (ILA), which provided specialist supported living services for people with complex and enduring mental illness, and was also a senior management lead providing high-acuity residential services for people with learning disabilities. In the 1990s, Karen was also involved in the All Wales Strategy, which closed long stay hospitals and developed community-based support for people with learning disabilities.
Supporting people to achieve their outcomes in high quality, supportive, and enabling environments is of utmost importance to Karen.
