Meet Mark...
Mark qualified as a Social Worker in 1999 and spent many years as an Approved Mental Health Professional and Social Work Manager within integrated NHS and Local Authority mental health services.
He also spent six years as a tutor with Bournemouth University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Mental Health Practice, developing a keen interest in the use of research in practice and in supporting others to develop their knowledge. He has a MSc in Public Health and a postgraduate qualification in leadership and management.
In 2015, Mark joined SIL’s specialist mental health services.
Today, SIL is part of Lifeways, and specialises in supporting individuals with mental health needs.
As a senior manager, he was instrumental in introducing and establishing systems, processes, and good governance structures, which enabled safe and rapid growth of the organisation. SIL is a recognised provider in supporting people on the forensic pathway, including those with diagnoses of personality disorders and with a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
As Managing Director of Lifeways’ Mental Health division, Mark is responsible for the delivery of high-quality mental health services. He is committed to a holistic approach to mental health recovery and creating a culture of safe and compassionate support.
