mayfair

People we support, their families, and our support team at Mayfair Court, a Lifeways supported living service in Raunds, North Northamptonshire, recently held a summer fete.

To the beats of a local DJ, people we support and support team members sold woodwork planters, garden benches, and decorative logs they had made, alongside a bric-a-brac and cake stall, and a raffle.

There was also delicious food served from the barbecue.

As well as being lots of fun, the summer fete was held to raise money for the setting up of a gym at the service, as requested by people we support. A total of £350 was raised on the day.

Rena Jewkes, Mayfair Court's Registered Manager, says that the service's ongoing transformation is led by the individuals we support, and their team members.

"I would like to give a great big thank you to all the individuals we support, and my colleagues at Mayfair Court, for their continuous support in developing the service into a lovely environment for autistic people to feel comfortable, safe, and well - and to enjoy social activities that they have been part of creating."
