Back in 2015, our office in Swindon was struggling with providing quality services, which meant the Local Authority were auditing regularly and CQC had placed the office into Special Measures.
Fast forward to 2018 and we delighted to receive an overall rating of Good with one area of Outstanding for being a responsive provider.
This is a huge achievement for the team at Swindon and we are so proud that all their hard work has paid off.
So how did we do it? This drastic change was achieved by focusing on 3 key areas:
IMPROVEMENT: Developing a culture of continuous improvement, working towards a high level of support delivered by skilled and highly trained staff.
RECOGNITION: Regular management support for our people – rewards for their achievements through formal recognition – which includes just saying ‘Thank You’.
ONE TEAM: We make sure there’s a culture of ‘togetherness’ which includes staff BBQs, Christmas parties and team social activities, as well as Staff Forums where we formally recognise ‘above and beyond’ practice.
