Living at this service
We are ready to welcome a person aged between 25 and 35 years of age, who has a good level of independence and is looking to improve their daily life skills. The people we support here are two men who live with learning disabilities and cerebral palsy.
One of the men enjoys going to the day centre twice a week, group activities at the arcades, bowling, and socialising in the house. The other man likes being in the community, going to the cinema, attending social groups in the week, playing on the Wii or computer, and watching DVD’s.
At Harcourt Mews, people choose how they spend their time. People’s hobbies include listening to music, watching television, shopping, cooking, karaoke, and walking. Trips to Blackpool, Southport, the countryside and the coast are favourites.
“Harcourt Mews is in a quiet area close to Horwich where you can access everything. The property is in great condition and is set up so every person can have their personal space by using the quiet lounge. The atmosphere is happy and fun in this house.” Manager, Harcourt Mews
