Lifeways’ new supported living services for vulnerable adults with a range of disabilities are set to open in Wavertree, Liverpool in October, creating jobs in the local area.

In partnership with Inclusion Housing, Lifeways are developing two supported living services that will provide high quality accommodation and support for adults with high level and low level support needs. One will support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, brain injuries and autism and the other will support adults with mental health conditions.

Each consisting of eight self-contained apartments, both developments will provide adults with their own tenancy with staff available 24/7 to provide support and enable people to live as independently as possible. As with all new Lifeways developments, each apartment comes with modern white goods and integrated appliances. There will be a communal accessible garden for everyone to enjoy. The developments are in an ideal location for accessing the local community and are close to local shops, amenities and transport links.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a new service and we’re currently recruiting for support workers. We are keen to build a team of people who share our passion and want to make a real difference in people’s lives. The teams at both services will help adults with a range of disabilities to develop their life skills and enjoy being at the heart of the community and we encourage people from the local area to get in touch if they are interested in this type of role.

Lindsey Briggs, Community Engagement & Development Manager, commented, “We are committed to providing innovative homes for vulnerable adults and the new developments are a really good example of what can be achieved in partnership. We are delighted to be able to provide high quality supported accommodation for adults in the local area.”
