At Acacia House, we promote the rights and choices of the people who live there. Everyone participates in monthly meetings where they are consulted on issues that affect their daily lives. Each person we support at Acacia House is encouraged to participate in the day-to-day running of the home and decision-making, such as suggesting ideas for menus and daily activities.

We support people in their personal development and encourage everyone to be as independent as possible and to manage their own daily routines. Residents are also supported to build independent living skills through assisting in household tasks and preparing meals.

Everyone we support at Acacia House has an individual activity plan to support meaningful activities inside and outside the home. We make sure each individual isĀ  fully involvedĀ in the process of drawing up their plan, to establish what they want to achieve, which skills they already have and the skills we can support them to develop.

Sitting at the heart of the local community, Acacia House offers opportunities for positive social inclusion as well as the skilled support needed by each individual. There are spacious and comfortable communal areas and a large enclosed garden to the rear. Assisted technology is installed according to individual needs, and everyone is encouraged to truly personalise their own bedroom.

At Acacia House we offer the highest standards of residential support through a commitment to person-centred planning, attention to detail, engaged staff teams and most importantly a passion for enabling the people we support to achieve their goals and self-direct their support as much as they can.
