We have opened a new office in Edinburgh which will provide services across Edinburgh and the Lothians for people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health needs and complex care needs.
Whether it’s a few hours support each week to 24/7 care and support, Living Ambitions Edinburgh and the Lothians can create bespoke and innovative personalised packages of support based around the person’s needs, the budget available and their individual goals and outcomes.
Creating an environment of self-directed support
Our person centred approach places individuals at the centre of a local network of expert support which can include their family, carers, care managers and health and social care organisations and professionals. We empower and enable the people we support to live an active and full life in their community by maximising their control and delivering services which meet their individual needs and aspirations.
We offer the highest standards of support through a commitment to person-centred and person-led planning, attention to detail, engaged staff teams and most importantly a passion for enabling the people we support to achieve their goals and self-direct their support as much as they can.
Enabling every person to reach their full potential
Our vision is to support people to live ordinary, independent and happy lives through delivering extraordinary support.
We always try to remember that an ordinary life is anything but. At Living Ambitions, an ordinary life is amazing. That’s what drives us – supporting people with diverse and often complex needs to live the life they choose, while making sure they are in control.
We support people with a range of needs to lie independently and safely in their own home, supporting them to access the social, leisure, education, training, voluntary work and employment opportunities open to all members of the community.
At the Edinburgh and the Lothians office, Positive Behaviour Support and active support underpin everything we do. We understand that each individual is a unique human being and not just a set of risks and challenges. We also recognise that families are the experts, so we work closely with families to create care pathways that empower the people we support to achieve their ambitions, acquire new skills, forge genuine community links and to live fulfilling lives.
