Complex and challenging behaviour

Our Nottinghamshire regional office in Beeston, are proud to report that our two apartment schemes has seen some fantastic achievements from the individuals supported and has received great feedback from the people supported and their families. This is down to the dedicated and committed team who work together in a way that has surpassed the expectations of both the local authority and management teams.

These are innovative services for individuals who were unable to settle into the original supported living model due to the level of support they require and have been in long stay semi secure accommodation. The primary function of these services is to support people to reintegrate back into the community.

The people we support have learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The service has a core team of staff who are on site during all waking hours to cater for the needs of all individuals being supported.

These services consist of a 6 bedroom property which comprises 5 self-contained apartments with an additional space to facilitate core staffing and visiting professionals. The accommodation includes adaptations and assistive technology for health needs and the ability to respond quickly to individuals providing extra staff if required.

The new model can support people who:

Are ready to leave a secure or locked environment but don’t yet have suitable long term accommodation

Are at risk of being admitted into secure or locked environments

Who need a trial period to determine what their support needs are

Who are ready to leave low security environments, but who would have been referred to a step-down service or locked rehabilitation in the past

All of our services have seen the people we support achieve some great outcomes teams.

We continue to receive positive feedback from individuals circle of support as well as CQC and continually strive to encourage the people we support to achieve their desired outcomes.
