Located in a picturesque area of Stanley, County Durham, Tanglewood Mews is a development of five purpose built individual houses providing residential care, and supported living.

Services are offered to adults who require  specialist care, and support for with autism and learning disabilities.

Tailored support plans are designed around each individual to ensure that complexity of need is not a barrier to independence or progress. Tanglewood Mews provides person focused and aspirational support through dedicated and highly trained support teams in each home.

Olive Grove offers high quality residential care for seven individuals. Each of the seven bedrooms has an en-suite shower room. There is a large communal kitchen, spacious dining room, living room, activity room, and a large garden for everyone to enjoy.

Maple Grove is also a seven bedroom house offering a supported living in a spacious and comfortable environment. Each bedroom has an en-suite, there is a communal kitchen, lounge, dining room, sensory room, and a large communal garden.

Willow House, Pine House and Beech House each consist of three flats, all with en-suite bedrooms, their own living room, and own garden space. The houses have communal kitchens, dining rooms, and laundry rooms.

Tanglewood Mews is in an excellent location as it is directly next to a local park, and is only a five minute walk away from Stanley town centre, which hosts local shops, supermarkets, doctors, dentists, and local transport links. In Stanley there’s also a leisure centre with a swimming pool and an accessible theatre, both of which offer a range of activities and day services for people of all abilities. Also close by there’s a museum and Tanfield heritage railway which operates steam trains.

Stanley provides a great location to explore a little further afield, with transport links to Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Durham and the beautiful North Pennines.
