Woodlands Cottage is a warm and spacious 4 bedroom bungalow, centrally located in Choppington. We provide high quality 24-hour care and support for people with a range of needs including learning disabilities and associated complex health needs.
Woodlands Cottages are within easy reach of all local amenities and with excellent transport links to Morpeth and Newcastle upon Tyne. Woodlands Cottage offers a warm and stimulating environment and is the ideal location for people who want to lead an active life in their community.
We encourage the people we support to live a full and engaged life, to reach their goals and be active members of the local community. Our team are very experienced, they work in close association with social workers and a clinical team, and we collectively work to ensure we meet the needs of each individual through a range of activities.
Sitting at the heart of the local community, Woodlands Cottage offers opportunities for positive social inclusion as well as the skilled support needed by each individual. There are spacious and comfortable communal areas and a large enclosed garden to the rear. Assisted technology is installed according to individual needs, and everyone is encouraged to truly personalise their own bedroom.
At Woodlands Cottage we offer the highest standards of residential support through a commitment to person-centred planning, attention to detail, engaged staff teams and most importantly a passion for enabling the people we support to achieve their goals and self-direct their support as much as they can.
Positive behaviour and active support underpin everything we do. We understand that each individual is a unique human being and not just a set of risks and challenges. We also recognise that families are the experts, so we work closely with families to create care pathways that empower the people we support to achieve their ambitions, acquire new skills, forge genuine community links and to live fulfilling lives.
