The Wycar Leys, Bullwell service consists of 3 separate houses, provides a specialist residential service to meet the needs of individuals that are diagnosed with a learning disability, mental health, physical disabilities, dementia, autism and sensory impairment.
The Cottage has 10 en suite bedrooms, 8 of which are on the ground floor and 2 two on first floor. There are 2 large communal lounges, 2 large dining areas, a computer room, sensory room, wide corridors, and a large kitchen.
One of the bedrooms is used for short breaks.
The Homestead has 8 en suite bedrooms, 2 of which are on the ground floor, and 3 communal bathrooms.
One bedroom that is used for short breaks.
Middleton house has 2 bedrooms, a lounge, dining room and kitchen, with a bathroom, and another toilet.
Secure gardens provide a safe outside space with a swing, trampoline, vegetable patch, and a greenhouse.
Our philosophy at Wycar Leys is to help individuals with complex presentations by working in partnership to provide a person centred service at the heart of the local community. We create bespoke care plans for each individual that we support, enabling them to achieve their goals and develop their skills while living the life they choose.
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and active support underpin everything we do, and we promote opportunity, choice and control for everyone we support.
About the home
Wycar Leys provides a flexible and comfortable living environment that can support 22 people. The 3 homes comprise of 22 spacious bedrooms with ample additional communal spaces. Outside there is an enclosed private gardens offering a peaceful area for everyone to enjoy.
Lifeways are dedicated to offering specialist services as part of a full community care pathway.
