Living at this service
Lightwood Road is ideal for an active person aged over 50. At Lightwood Road, we currently support five men and one woman aged between 57 and 83. They have diverse needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, brain injury, physical disabilities, arthritis, cerebral palsy, and blindness.
People enjoy sitting in the garden, sensory activities, shopping, singing, music therapy, karaoke, football, listening to music, watching television, shopping, bowling, bingo and being in the community.
Lightwood Road is an active household – people choose how they spend their time. We go on regular day trips - Chester Zoo, or the monkey forest at Trentham Gardens are favourites. People here like to stay in a specialised hotel in Blackpool, and every year people choose to watch the local Christmas pantomime.
“At Lightwood Road we strive to have the right values to support all of the people we care for. We want them to have the best lives possible and always place them at the centre of everything we do.” Manager, Lightwood Road
