We believe there are still too many people currently in hospitals or institutional care settings who, with the right support and structure, would thrive in community settings. SIL provides specialist support and recovery services for people with complex mental health needs, supporting them to transition into their own tenancy.

Our recovery approach
Our recovery approach requires a different relationship between service users and professionals; one where openness, trust and honesty is critical to building effective relationships. We believe that with the right support, people with mental ill health can recover; that this capacity is inherent to the individual and that our role is to support them to discover the strengths they have to break away from the role and identity of ‘patient’.
Our recovery approach"I'm really happy I went to SIL. I've learnt a lot and the staff were brilliant. I wouldn't be the person I am today without them."
