Jane Perks

Jane started her career as a mental health nurse in 1986, giving her over 30 years’ experience of clinical practice in NHS hospital, acute, forensic and Mother and Baby Unit settings during which she became a Practice Assessor, ensuring the best possible learning experience for students on placement within ward environments.

In 2012 Jane received her long service award and moved to the private healthcare sector as a manager in a forensic hospital. Jane became aware of SIL through supporting a person to obtain a move out of hospital to a flat in one of the SIL schemes, and in 2019 joined the Quality & Practice team as a Mental Health Practitioner.
