Valued in your community
At Golden Hill, we are fortunate to be located in a peaceful village with peaceful surroundings.
Leyland has cafes, pubs, a library, a post office, restaurants, shops, high-street banks, South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre, and the British Commercial Vehicle Museum. There are beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside too. For people who like to stay active, Leyland Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool.
People also like to visit Preston, with its larger amenities. There’s St George’s and Fishergate Shopping Centres, the Harris Museum, art gallery and library, a Vue cinema, and Preston Rock n Bowl.
Living at this service
Golden Hill is an ideal home for someone aged between 30 and 60. The people we support here are aged between 32 and 54, and enjoy their routines. They have Fragile X Syndrome and mental health conditions.
Their interests include trains, shopping, listening to music, cooking, watching television, karaoke, volunteering, gardening, swimming, walking, and being in the community. Two of the people we support here are brothers.
“At Golden Hill, people enjoy being part of the friendly atmosphere. Everyone here has a big personality which creates a happy, engaging and active household.” Manager, Golden Hill
