Old Park Road has been designed to cater for people with learning and physical disabilities who require a short break with specialised support facilities.

Everyone has their own person centred plan to ensure that they get the most out of their stay, for example working towards increased independence and using local community leisure resources.

Sitting at the heart of the local community, Old Park Road offers opportunities for positive social inclusion as well as the skilled support needed by each individual. Each of the four bedrooms has an en suite, one with a wet room, one with a bath and the other two with walk in showers. There are spacious and comfortable communal areas and a large enclosed garden to the rear. Assistive technology is installed according to individual needs, and everyone is encouraged to truly personalise their own bedroom.

Old Park Road is managed by a large, experienced team in close association with social workers and a clinical team, we collectively work to ensure we meet the needs of each individual through a range of activities.

At Old Park Road we offer the highest standards of residential support through a commitment to person-centred planning, attention to detail, engaged staff teams and most importantly a passion for enabling the people we support to achieve their goals and self-direct their support as much as they can.

Positive behaviour and active support underpin everything we do. We understand that each individual is a unique human being and not just a set of risks and challenges. We also recognise that families are the experts, so we work closely with families to create care pathways that empower the people we support to achieve their ambitions, acquire new skills, forge genuine community links and to live fulfilling lives.

A wide range of activities are offered both at Old Park Road and in the local community including: Arts and Crafts, Games, Gardening, Cooking, Bingo. Trips Museums and Galleries, Hiking and Walking, Swimming, Bowling, Ice Skating, Sailing, Rock Climbing etc.

Other attractions in the area are: National Science and Media Museum, Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre and Keighley & Worth Valley Railway
